Adams County Democratic Party Bylaws
Article I — Name
- This organization shall be known as the Adams County Democratic Party (ACD).
Article II — Purpose
- The purpose of the ACD is to advance Democratic principles and candidates in Adams County, Idaho.
- The party shall promote civic participation, voter registration, and community engagement.
- The party shall support the Idaho Democratic Party platform and state organization.
Article III — Membership
- Membership is open to all registered Democrats residing in Adams County.
- All residents who support the goals of the ACD are welcome to participate in public meetings and activities.
- Voting members must be registered Democrats in Adams County.
Article IV — Officers
- The ACD shall be led by a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
- Officers shall be elected by voting members at the annual reorganization meeting.
- Officers serve two-year terms and may be re-elected.
- Vacancies shall be filled by a vote of the central committee at its next regular meeting or by appointment until a regular meeting is scheduled.
Article V — Meetings
- Regular meetings shall be held quarterly or at the call of the Chair.
- All meetings shall be open to the public.
- A quorum shall consist of a majority (50%) of current voting members.
Article VI — Amendments
- These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of voting members present at any regular meeting.
- Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing at least two weeks before the vote.
