Governing rules of the Adams County Democratic Party.

Adams County Democratic Party Bylaws

Article I — Name

  1. This organization shall be known as the Adams County Democratic Party (ACD).

Article II — Purpose

  1. The purpose of the ACD is to advance Democratic principles and candidates in Adams County, Idaho.
  2. The party shall promote civic participation, voter registration, and community engagement.
  3. The party shall support the Idaho Democratic Party platform and state organization.

Article III — Membership

  1. Membership is open to all registered Democrats residing in Adams County.
  2. All residents who support the goals of the ACD are welcome to participate in public meetings and activities.
  3. Voting members must be registered Democrats in Adams County.

Article IV — Officers

  1. The ACD shall be led by a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
  2. Officers shall be elected by voting members at the annual reorganization meeting.
  3. Officers serve two-year terms and may be re-elected.
  4. Vacancies shall be filled by a vote of the central committee at its next regular meeting or by appointment until a regular meeting is scheduled.

Article V — Meetings

  1. Regular meetings shall be held quarterly or at the call of the Chair.
  2. All meetings shall be open to the public.
  3. A quorum shall consist of a majority (50%) of current voting members.

Article VI — Amendments

  1. These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of voting members present at any regular meeting.
  2. Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing at least two weeks before the vote.
